The Meter measures grid import and export so the EP760 can decide when to charge from the grid, discharge the battery or let solar carry the load. Without it, the system cannot manage energy flow accurately.
It is a wired accessory and should be installed by a qualified electrician as part of the EP760 commissioning. One meter is required per EP760 system.

No. Ordinary cable degrades on a hot roof and becomes a fire risk. Use genuine MC4s, properly crimped.
